August 23, 2014 Going To Alaska

After DJing a fun wedding last night, I had a quick night of sleep and then a 6.5 hour flight to Anchorage. Christy took these pictures from the plane while flying over the mountains between Juneau and Anchorage. I believe this is the largest sub arctic ice field in North America.

We met my cousins Karen & Ken in Anchorage. They flew in from Miami yesterday. We had lunch at the Downtown Anchorage Market. Tasty fried halibut.

The market even had live music...

...lots of food and artisan vendors...

...and these two happy shoppers stocking up on food for Alaska adventure.

A little goofing around like the tourists we are trying to avoid...oh well.

Even Alaskans have turned on this Almighty Dipshit.

A late night stroll through Kincaid Park looking for moose and finding miles of mountain biking trails. I guess I have another reason to return to Alaska.

Nice flower garden in the park.

On our late night hike on Raspberry Road Trail. We saw lovebirds but no bears or moose.
