Chrissy & I started our day at Riot Fest by checking out Gunner's Daughter on the Rebel Stage.
Then we caught Chicago's Celtic punk band, Flatfoot 56 on the Rise Stage. They were very good. Lots of fans were very familiar with this band. The circle mosh pit was huge. I'll have to check out this local band.
Chrissy colored her hair to match her shirt.
We watched the Smoking Popes at the Roots Stage.
This year Riot Fest added a Sideshow tent.
Hey, that looks like me & Chrissy dancing at the Mermaid Parade Ball earlier this year in Coney Island.
This was my favorite band all weekend. It's a punk marching band called Environmental Encroachment. They played throughout the festival everyday. Very entertaining, always fun.
It is called Riot Fest and Carnival so here's the Lucha Libre ring...
...hey I enjoyed this too. Bad acting, fake cheap shots and entertaining to me.
Always been a ska fan, here's another Chicago band called On The Marx. They had the crowd dancing throughout their set.
I just told you the official name.
The female lead singers of On The Marx...
...skankin' to the ska music
Someone's enjoying the mac & cheese from one of the food trucks.
Another local band. This one was suggested to us by the lead singer of Flatfoot 56...
...the 2 tone band known as the Crombies. Absolutely loved this band.
A bust of John Stamos made out of butter.
We caught Screeching Weasel, Bad Religion and Sublime with Rome. Then texted George & Marcy and my friend Marko to meet us under the Ferris Wheel.
Environmental Encroachment still entertaining the masses.
This food stand made everyone who walked by either make a joke or just laugh out loud.
We stayed for a few Fall Out Boy songs, unimpressed and left Riot Fest. Here we are on the streets of Humboldt Park, heading to a local bar. Good times today with family and friends.
