August 13 The Warsaw Inn

Whenever my mom comes to visit, I know I have to take her to the Warsaw Inn. Of course she says she is visiting to see her favorite son, but I bet she would visit even less often if the Warsaw Inn closed. So tonight we met Chrissy's parents Marsha & Don along with Chrissy's Great Aunt Ann at the Warsaw Inn. It is a Polish, hopefully you figured that out already, smorgasbord that has very reasonable prices. The food is fantastic... pierogis, blintzes, ham & roast beef carved off the bone, full salad & dessert bar and many nightly specialty items. Go hungry and you'll leave full. This place isn't for people on a diet. The pierogis are floating in melted butter, there isn't a low calorie section to be found anywhere. The menu has not changed in 30 years and neither has the quality. I highly recommend this place. And so does my mom. She told some friends in Southern California about the Warsaw Inn. When they flew into Chicago to visit family in Wisconsin, they detoured south to the Warsaw Inn for an authentic Polish meal and they loved it. Of course if you eat here often, open heart surgery will be required in your not so distant future.
