May 11, 2013 Shipping Up (actually down) To Boston

It was raining this morning, just like the forecast predicted. We decided to head back to Boston. So we packed up...

...a quick walk along the river to stretch the still tired & sore legs...
...then a fantastic breakfast at Flapjack's Pancake House in Lincoln, NH.
We drove along Route 112, the scenic Kancamagus Highway through the White Mountains towards Maine. Unfortunately it was raining with low clouds, there wasn't much to see today. We drove down along the coast of Maine back into New Hampshire to Hampton Beach.

The ocean is what I miss the most about living in Chicago. Even though it was a dreary day, it felt good to see the ocean again.

And it felt even better to feel the ocean on my very sore feet.

Mike preferred the view from the boardwalk.

We found a hotel in Boston, got rid of the rental car, got MTA passes and headed out for dinner, drinks and live music. But first we found a street performer at Quincy Market who was just as good at comedy as he was at juggling.

Then it was off for drinks, live music and dinner (sometime between here and 2:30am I am pretty sure we had dinner somewhere. I know we had lots of drinks and live music in every bar we stopped at.)

Does this count as dinner?
